: The law of December 22, 2018 on combating the manipulation of information entrusts the French Superior Audiovisual Council with the task of drawing up an assessment of the application and effectiveness of measures implemented by platforms to fight the diffusion of false information. This first assessment, covering 2019, was drawn up on the basis of the annual declaration sent to the Council by the operators of these platforms under their duty of cooperation established by the same law. It has been enriched by further exchanges between the Council's departments and the operators, and by the work of the committee of experts on online
